a life full of meaning

We greatly underestimate the cognitive lives of animals other than ourselves. Just watch the birds for half of an hour or sit with cat or dog attentively and you can see.

It's moments of unfettered joy that one remembers most vividly in her latest years. Those moments are what give her a real sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.

To live a life full of meaning, one must approach the world with a whimsical eye. Which is to mean that one looks upon people, the earth, and life's situations with an open heart and a wide imagination.
