I just discovered the work of late contemporary folk artist, Guidette Carbonell, thanks to Lisa Congdon's Pinterest. These photos are from a retrospective of Carbonell's work that took place at Paris's Galerie Mercier at the very beginning of this year. I don't even really know what to say. I'm so blown away by those tapestries. The artist was a true master of color and shape. And I am encouraged by the artist's use of many media.
